The title "The Evolution of My Brother" somewhat implies that the story will be entirely about the brother since "his evolution" is the only subject. When I initially began reading the story, I expected to read about the life of the brother from childhood to adulthood, and because of the "My" in the title, I knew the story would be told from a different character's point of view. After reading the story however, I believe Jenny shares just as much "development" as her brother-- if not more-- and wanted her to also have a place in the title. Therefore, I wanted to alter the title in such a way that still implied that the brother wouldn't be narrating, but also emphasized the role of Jenny in the story.
I've chosen to alter the title to "How Ham, Coins, and Video Games Shaped My Brother, Who Shaped Me" to better reflect the format of the story (yes, I know, it's a mouthful!). Although Jenny spends the story describing how events in her brother's life made him the way he is today, she herself is also directly changing as a result. In many ways, Jenny's relationship with her brother has forced her to self-reflect and grow as a person. I believe this new title better encapsulates the specific idea of change within two characters, although the primary subject still remains her brother. Not to mention, "Ham, Coins, and Video Games" sounds pretty enticing to me!
